Every time I thought I had it correct, my coffee would just drip out. I was about to just order a new one because I love how well it keeps hot drinks hot/cold drinks cold. Thanks so much for breaking it down!

Thank you! I've had my little guy for approximately 7 or 8 years. Lol TODAY I took it apart and washed it throughly...would not have been able to reassemble without your instructions

I would like to thank you for creating such an excellent video. It's very informative, and the UA-cam community appreciates it. Additionally, I wanted to share a great method for removing residue from the inner walls of a thermos, as well as from the plastic parts and gaskets. Simply pour hot water into the thermos and add a quarter of a dishwashing tablet. For the lid and gaskets, place them in a bowl with hot water and add another quarter of a dishwashing tablet. Let everything soak for an hour, and you'll find it all clean and residue-free.

GROSS! I have had one for years. Gasket went bad, and I finally realized that my lid was full of something-fungus-looking! Been drinking out of it every day. From this video, I learned how to properly clean it now!!! Thanks!

You magnificent bastard!!! I love you. I have been struggling with cleaning this damn lid for a MONTH and couldn’t use it because it kept leaking (because I re-assembled it improperly). You fixed my mug and now I can drink my hot tea in the morning train again. I’m so thankful you are basically my god right now. I would pray to you ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for explaining that damn lid! I just bought the cup today and I’m sure it’s good as far as keeping drinks cold/hot as most double walled steel cups are, but HOLY SMOKES! t he lid assembly and disassembly is absolutely ridiculous!! This has to be open, this has to be closed , this has to be aligned this way or that way. I planned on using it as a coffee cup with creamer in it, I’ll only use it occasionally as this is a PIA.

One question one statement. The reason I searched for this video is...What is that little hook for on the lid? My statement is you missed out that little rubber ring gasket around the hook, that comes out and there's usually gunk in there, plus that centre section with the hook, I want to take apart as it smells inside there if you get your nose close to it (bad design in my option) Thanks

Is it normal that after taking it apart and reassembling it for the very first time, the second, small gasket became "loose" and the disk can now spin freely? (Making it not have an air tight seal if the mug moves around since the water presses on one side of the disk and makes the other side become "open"

I'm returning mine because that first nut that you are supposed to take off with the lid open by twisting counter clockwise will not come off.

THANK YOU and Merry Christmas to me from you! I love this mug, so much that I have 3. Problem is Ive been intermittently trying to put them all back together w/o leakage for almost a year and never able to screw the lid back on right. You’re well instructed tips helped me realize that the nuance of laying that large gasket over the lip of the black plastic made all the difference. I’m so grateful.

The sheer amount of views this particular video got in six years alone is enough to tell me this is a real issue, or people got rid of their instruction manuals, or the thing didn't come with one.

Thank you so much! ❤ You saved me. I took just the big rubber gasket out because it seemed like it was time to clean it, but then I didn't know how to put it back. I was getting so frustrated and thinking I'd have to throw it away. In fact, I learned that it could all come apart thanks to you. I took it apart, and it was gross! 🤢 I would have ruined my favorite mug if it wasn't for this video, and these mugs are not cheap. 💸💰You are so smart to have discovered how to take it apart. I never would have figured out that you had to turn it to take it apart. Thank you, thank you!! 🙏🙏
